US Giant Increases Bitcoin Investments, Raising Its Holdings to 3,303! - Coin Bulletin
US-based medical device manufacturer Semler Scientific (SMLR) has increased its total Bitcoin (BTC) reserves to 3.303 BTC.
The company announced in its latest statement that it has acquired 111 Bitcoin (BTC) more. Semler Scientific carried out this latest acquisition with funds obtained from stock sales and existing cash reserves. According to the data disclosed by the company, the average purchase cost of the Bitcoins was 90 thousand 124 dollars.
With this move, Semler's total Bitcoin investment reached 290.4 million dollars. The company also stated that the Bitcoin return since the beginning of the year has been 23.5%. Considering that this rate was at 152.2% in February, it appears that there has been a significant decline in recent months.
On the other hand, despite the company's continued investments in Bitcoin, Semler Scientific stocks have not pleased the investor. SMLR shares have lost 36.92% of their value since the beginning of the year. This situation indicates that the company's Bitcoin strategy has not positively impacted stock performance in the short term.
Investors are closely monitoring whether the company will continue to increase its Bitcoin assets in the future. The volatility in the cryptocurrency markets and the trend of companies holding Bitcoin in their balance sheets seem to continue shaping the investment strategies of firms like Semler.
